Eternal is a for-charity zine focused on Genshin Impact’s Electro Archon, Her Excellency Raiden Shogun. We wish to tell the story of the Shogun’s life in Inazuma, and her pursuit toward her dreams. A resilient, dazzling, and complex character, she will find her name remembered in legend, in history, and in eternity.
Post-production funds will go to the Animal Welfare Institute, a non-profit dedicated to reducing animal suffering caused by humans, and to provide better care and treatment for animals everywhere.

Before applying, please take note of the following:
❖ Please try to include a Raiden Shogun (Baal/Ei) piece in your application. This applies to both art and fic.
❖ Everyone is allowed to apply for more than one role, but will only be accepted for one of them.
❖ When applying for the zine, we highly recommend that you pitch an idea for the zine. It helps the team narrow down who to include in the project.

❖ No excessive nudity, gore, nsfw and offensive themes in your piece.
❖ Traditional art is welcome, but must be scanned in high quality. 600dpi or higher is preferred.
❖ The piece must be new and exclusive to the zine and must fill the entire canvas.

❖ Landscape, CMYK, 300dpi
❖ Folded, the book will be A5 (5.8 x 8.3 in, 148 x 210 mm).
❖ Spine size is pending, but make sure to give yourself enough room.

1. What is a zine?
A zine or fanzine is a small-circulation of fan-published work of original writings and/or arts.
2. What is this project about?
Eternal is a for-charity sfw gen zine dedicated to the Raiden Shogun and Electro Archon, Baal.
3. Is there a NSFW add-on?
Due to low interest in a NSFW add-on, we have decided to not to include one in this project.
4. How will contributors be compensated?
Contributors are guaranteed a digital copy of the pdf, and we aim to provide all contributors with a full bundle. In the event that we cannot cover full bundles for contributors, they will be able to buy items at production cost.
5. Where will the proceeds go?
Post-production funds will go to the Animal Welfare Institute, a non-profit dedicated to reducing animal suffering caused by humans, and to provide better care and treatment for animals everywhere.
6. What are artists required to do?
Artists will be assigned a page or merch depending on application results. Illustrations are CMYK in A5 format. To account for the bleed, a canvas size of 216mm in height and 154mm in width is preferred.
7. What are writers required to do?
Writers will write a short story between 1.5k to 2k words with proper formatting, grammar, and punctuation.
8. Is traditional art allowed?
Yes. Please make sure to provide a clean, high-quality scan of your work. Scanning in 600dpi or higher is advisable.
9. How old do I have to be to apply? Is there an age restriction?
All interested contributors must be 16 or older during the time of your application in order to be considered for the zine.
10. How many contributors are you accepting?
We are welcoming around 50 contributors, which will involve between 28-32 artists, 5-10 merch artists, and 8 writers.
11. Are contributors allowed to collaborate? Can a writer collaborate with another writer or artist?
We welcome all sorts of collaboration between our contributors! Do note, collaborations can only be established among contributors after they’ve been accepted into the zine and joined the Discord.
12. Will this zine also allow other Inazuma characters (in the same piece as Baal) or will this be a Baal exclusive zine?
Though this is a Baal-centric zine, we welcome pieces containing interactions with other characters so long as Baal is the main focus!
13. Will this zine contain ships?
Since this is a SFW gen zine, we ask that all ships be implied if they are present at all! We want to focus on platonic interactions between our beloved characters for this zine, and ideally applicants will emphasize that over romantic relationships.
14. Are AUs allowed?
We welcome AUs that can work within canon. AUs that change the universe (i.e. AUs based on another franchise/series, Omegaverse, Steampunk, etc.) are not allowed.
15. Can I submit an older piece (art or fic) for the zine?
Unfortunately no. Please make sure that the piece is unpublished and brand new.
